winslow-soar-award.jpgOn April 17, 2020, Audrea Winslow was honored with the first annual Staff Outstanding Achievement and Recognition award (SOAR) by the College of Education Staff Council, acknowledging her exemplary performance, productivity, and service. Winslow was honored at the spring meeting of the College of Education and Human Sciences Alumni Chapter and Friends Board, held via video conference.

Winslow, the Department Administrator for the Department of Special Education, supports 16 full-time faculty, several Part-Time Instructors, multiple teaching assistants, complex curricular offerings (including undergraduate, MA, PhD, four transcripted graduate certificates, teacher preparation and professional preparation), and a diverse and specialized student body of approximately 200 students.

“Audrea is a stellar employee and has earned a strong positive reputation within the department, as well as across the college and UNM,” said Ruth Luckasson, Department Chair. “Audrea is highly skilled, precise, and efficient, and always takes on challenging tasks with good cheer, tenacity, and a ‘can do’ attitude.”

The SOAR award was established in 2018 by the College’s Staff Council to recognize and promote excellence among the College’s staff. The award is funded by donors and members of the College’s Alumni Chapter and Friends Board.
