Physical Education Teacher Education Program

Welcome to Physical Education Teacher Education! The faculty of the Physical Education Teacher Education Program invites you to browse through our website. We hope the information helps you become more familiar with our degree programs. Our goal is to prepare highly qualified physical education teachers for the PK–12 setting and to train the next generation of teacher educators to effectively serve their institutions of higher education through their teaching, research, and service.

The Physical Education Teacher Education Program offers a Bachelor of Science in Education, post-bachelor endorsements in Physical Education, a Master of Science in Physical Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction, a Master of science in Physical Education with a concentration in Adapted Physical Education, and a Doctor of Philosophy in Physical Education, Sports, and Exercise Science with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction.

Undergraduate students are encouraged to seek advisement early in your studies to ensure familiarity with the proper sequence of courses. Graduate students should contact your assigned faculty advisor for program of studies advisement.
