Alumna Susana Ibarra Johnson named NM 2025 University Bilingual Education Professor of the Year
COEHS alumna Susana Ibarra Johnson was named NM 2025 University Bilingual Education Professor of the Year at the 50th Annual Meeting of the Association of Bilingual Education New Mexico. Dr. Johnson received her PhD in Language, Literacy, and Sociocultural Studies (2013) and is currently an Assistant Professor of Bilingual Education and TESOL in the School of Teacher, Preparation, Administration, and Leadership at New Mexico State University. '
Last year's awardee was the current department chair of LLSS, Carlos LopezLieva.
