Sierra Shoals

Sierra Shoals is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, but recently moved back from Durango, Colorado. There she attended Fort Lewis College where she received her degree in psychology. After being in Durango for the past 5 years, she is happy to be back home closer to family and to be starting a new chapter here at UNM as an academic advisor with the College of Education and Human Sciences.

She is eager to step into this role knowing how beneficial advising is in supporting students in reaching their academic and professional goals. She is also look forward to being able to help the students of UNM navigate challenges and explore opportunities that will set them up for success while helping them take ownership of their education and future.
