I am an educator, researcher, writer, and movement-based artist centered in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I wear many hats and I love them all! I count myself beyond lucky that the paths I’ve chosen to follow in life have allowed me to pursue my greatest passions: teaching, writing, dance, literature, and community.

Whether it is working with current and future secondary teachers, artistically directing and performing in a local dance company I founded, or getting to research and write about all aspects of literature and literacy, life is never dull and I’m always inspired by what I do. My work can be found in a variety of journals, including Journal of Adolescent & Adult Literacy, Journal of Language & Literacy Education, English Education, English Journal, and Journal of Literacy Innovation.
