Dr. De Castro is an Assistant Professor of Exercise Sciences and the Lab Director of the Exercise Physiology Lab in the Department of Health, Exercise & Sports Sciences at the University of New Mexico. Dr. De Castro received his Ph.D. from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil. His main research focus is the effect of resistance exercise/training on metabolic responses/adaptations. Also, he is interested in studying how phototherapy can improve exercise-induced metabolic benefits.
