Beau Hudson

Beau Hudson is a member of the Navajo Nation. He is also the first in his family to graduate from college, earning his degree in Communication with a minor in Economics from the University of New Mexico in Spring 2024.

As a Communication major, he was fascinated by the complex ways people interact. A simple gesture – verbal or nonverbal – can convey so much. Smiling, for example, goes a long way in human connection, and fortunately, that comes naturally to him.

Now, as an academic advisor, he has the opportunity to put theory into practice with every student interaction.
He enjoys working in higher education because students choose to be here, and he takes pride in helping them navigate their academic journey and achieve their goals.
