Sixty-six Teacher Residency Graduates Leading Classrooms Throughout New Mexico
Sixty-six new teachers graduated from this spring's class of District Partner Teacher Residency (DPTR) program and are now teachers of record in 14 different districts and charter schools throughout New Mexico.
The DPTR program provides residents and aspiring teachers with financial support, hands-on experience, and extensive mentorship. This year's graduates praised the high-quality preparation they received and highlighted how the $35,000 stipend allowed them to fulfill their dreams of becoming teachers.
The DPTR residency model has received national attention and recognition and continues to innovate with initiatives like a principal residency program. Applications for the 2025-2026 cohort open mid-October
