Denise Wallen, PhD
Denise Wallen has worked in the research administration arena for over 30 years providing pre-award and research development support both at the central and college level. She has a Masters in Public Administration and a Ph.D. in Education from the University of New Mexico. She has worked at UNM in central administration as a research administrator, strategic planner, director and currently with COEHS. Denise Wallen is a member of the National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA), having served in various leadership capacities including President, Board member, peer reviewer, committee(s) chair. Denise Wallen joined the COEHS research team in 2009 and currently serves as the Research Officer providing support and guidance with proposal development – e.g. spanning funding identification, project ideation and strategic planning, proposal editing and review, etc.
