Christine Marquez, MS
Christine Marquez is a Faculty Research Support Officer at the University of New Mexico’s College of Education & Human Sciences, Research Office, and has supported the college faculty, students, and staff as they engage in research and scholarly activities for over 9 years.
She has been working in research administration for 26 years, primarily at UNM in both central and departmental administration. At UNM, her roles included supporting research faculty at the medical school, with a large majority of National Institute of Health funding, and also at UNM’s main campus, where funding ranges from the National Science Foundation, US Department of Education, Sandia National Laboratory, National Endowment for the Humanities, State of New Mexico, as well as a variety of national and local foundations. Christine also worked at the Lovelace Respiratory Research Institute for 4 of those years as a Contract Administrator negotiating and supporting large US Department of Defense funded projects. She was also a National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) member for many of these years and served as Treasurer, Chair-Elect, and Chair in the NCURA Region VII, was a graduate of the NCURA Leadership Development Institute, served as co-presenter at both regional and national NCURA workshops and concurrent sessions.
Christine has an Associate of Science in Business Administration from Enterprise State Junior College, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Administration with a minor in Information Systems from New Mexico Highlands University, and attained her Master of Arts degree in Organizational Learning & Instructional Technology from the University of New Mexico in December of 2012.
