Martin Lopez is a Sr. Academic Advisor at the Center for Student Success within the College of Education & Human Sciences. Originally from Albuquerque, NM, he has worked and studied in Florida, South Carolina, Louisiana, and Texas. He enjoys the interaction with students, helping them out or answering any questions he can.
He has a background as an advisor, working as an Academic Advisor for athletes at the University of New Orleans, SMU, and Clemson University. He found his way into advising due to the fact he did not have an advisor in College, he had to work with his professors as advisors. With this, he learned the importance of students having a guide to assist them on their academic journey.
On the question of red or green chile, he prefers red but likes green sometimes as well.
