Application Deadlines
Application Deadline for Domestic Applicants:
- Rolling Admissions
Application Deadline for International Applicants:
- Spring Semester: August 1
- Fall Semester: May 1
Master of Arts and Master of Arts with alternative licensure
The application can be found at www.unm.edu/apply/, or the Special Education program web site. The following documents need to be uploaded to your online application:
- Complete Graduate Application online http://www.unm.edu/apply/
- A non-refundable application fee (pay with credit card online as part of Graduate Application)
- One official transcript from each college you have attended. Official transcripts must be sent to Office of Admissions. (Exception: UNM transcripts)
- One unofficial transcript from each college you have attended (Exception: UNM transcripts). A minimum G.P.A. of 3.2 overall or a minimum GPA of 3.2 for the last 60 hours of undergraduate course work.
- Letter of Intent
- MA Special Education Application form. Department staff will create the Supplemental Form section after the applicant has successfully applied. At that time, log-in to your application, and please upload completed form in the Supplemental Form section of the Application Fields.
- Three Letters of Recommendation (Recommend at least one letter from a college instructor, one from an employer, and one from another professional contact)
