The College of Education and Human Sciences mourns the passing of alumna, Dorothy Gram. Gram led a life of service and philanthropy and was the College's Spring 2023 Commencement Speaker.

Gram was the youngest of four children born to Thomas Gregory and Agnes Cecelia Wooldridge and the beloved spouse of William Louis Gram. Gram was a UNM Counselor Education alumna who worked as a teacher, counselor, and advocate for families and youth throughout her distinguished career.

Dorothy will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her generosity to others, and her famous toffee. COEHS Dean Kristopher M. Goodrich described Dorothy as "an educator and true servant leader," adding that “Our College mourns the loss of Dorothy as we celebrate her life and the incredible work she accomplished."

Donations in Dorothy’s memory can be made to the Dorothy Gram Counselor Education Scholarship Fund through the UNM Foundation.
