PETE master's student manuscript featured article in peer reviewed journal
Angelo Montoya (PETE MS student, Department of Health, Exercise and Sports Sciences (HESS), and Pojoaque Valley physical education teacher) has the featured article in the October issue of the Journal of Physical Education, Recreation, and Dance. The article titled: "Enhancing Student Motivation and Social Skills: Adopting the Sport Education and Cooperative Learning Models" was done under the direction of Dr. Karen Gaudreault (Assistant Professor, PETE) and Dr. Kelly Simonton (University of Memphis). In addition, the Society of Health and Physical Educators (SHAPE) America chose to feature the article in their blog to bring additional visibility to the piece.
Angelo teaches physical education in Pojoaque Valley School District, is currently in the PETE master's program, and intends to graduate in Spring 2021.
