I believe it is important to be active in various aspects of my higher educational career. I enjoyed being a student cabinet member here at UNM as an undergrad, meeting with President Frank and sharing the voice of the underclassmen was an important task and I took it seriously.
Currently I am a graduate student here at UNM and it is my hope to graduate with my Masters Degree in the Fall of 2016. I aspire to work with staff and student athletes in a way that helps strengthen the mind of the athlete as they transcend and acclimate into the world of the professional sporting arena.
I appreciate your consideration to help at this level.

Teacher Education, Educational Leadership & Policy (TEELP) Representative
- Cameron Goble
- Cameron Goble is growing deep roots in teacher education. These roots go back to high school, when--as a chronic public school failure--he was given the opportunity to mentor his peers in the one class he was succeeding in. It transformed Cameron's life. That choice by a visionary teacher inspired Cameron to understand how engaged teaching can help make the difference for struggling students. In his second senior year, he turned his GPA around from a 1.2 to a 2.5: enough to graduate and enter college.
Since then, Cameron has been a professional trainer, a K-5 educator, and a freelance instructional designer to local non-profits. Cameron currently works as a Training Consultant at UNM. He trains staff and faculty in leadership skills and organizational development topics. One recent project was to facilitate a retreat for the College of Education's Elementary Education faculty. Another was to develop a peer-driven training system to UNM student employees in the IT department: much the same as his own transformative experience in high school.
Today, Cameron pursues an M.A. in Educational Leadership at the CoE. His inquiries focus on developing resilience in new teachers, as well as creating informal, self-directed learning places. Cameron serves on the Board of Directors at Quelab, Albuquerque's premiere non-profit makerspace.
Cameron is the father of a 3 year old girl, and he enjoys playing the banjo.
